Jessica K. Miles
Jessica Miles is an associate at Noble & Vrapi, P.A., based in the firm’s El Paso office.
Jessica graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she earned Clinical Honors and the Jerrold L. Walden Memorial Award for her commitment to social justice.
Prior to law school, Jessica worked as a campaign organizer in Portland, OR, Denver, CO, and San Francisco, CA. Although she has always been dedicated to social justice and civil rights, it was her work with undocumented immigrant students in Oregon that solidified her commitment to provide legal representation to members of the immigrant community. In law school Jessica was the co-President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Student Chapter and active member of the Mexican American Law Student Association (MALSA), where she rallied opposition to legislation that would stop New Mexico from issuing driver’s licenses to immigrants. Jessica also participated in a summer law program at the Universidad de Guanajuato, in Guanajuato, Mexico.
In addition to her work on immigration issues, Jessica practices criminal law on behalf of her clients and is a member of the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (NMCDLA). She has participated and spoken at various Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events regarding immigration consequences of criminal convictions and is a regular contributing columnist for NMCDLA's quarterly digest "For the Defense".
In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, cooking, and taking on home improvement projects.
