Sarah S. Thomas
Sarah S. Thomas is an associate attorney at Noble & Vrapi, P.A. She specializes in business immigration, including employment-based immigration and I-9 compliance. She has experience with strategic immigration planning for U.S. and international companies and the international relocation of personnel both from and into the United States. She works with clients to address the visa and work authorization needs of U.S. and global personnel, including professionals, managers and executives, treaty investors/traders, essential workers, persons of extraordinary ability, corporate trainees, and students. With I-9 compliance she assists companies in drafting employment verification compliance policies, as well as with training sessions, internal audits, and representation in government audits (or “inspections”).
Ms. Thomas is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She graduated with honors from the University of New Mexico School of Law, and earned her B.A. summa cum laude from UNM in 2007. She received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School Community. Ms. Thomas is trained in mediation and negotiation and serves as a mediator at Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court. Ms. Thomas assists with business immigration cases for all of our offices. She is mainly based out of the Albuquerque office, but she is also available for meetings at our other offices.
Ms. Thomas is an Amigos de las Americas alumna volunteer where she was placed near La Esperanza, Honduras, building stoves with chimneys to help alleviate respiratory illness there. She also volunteers with AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) as Coach for her daughter’s team and is married to fellow native New Mexican, Shawn Thomas.
